How does it work?

There is no one-size-fits-all plan for getting healthy.  Each person has very different needs and very specific goals. What we do is custom-build a program for each person.

 We work with you to develop a program of health and fitness that you can use to make permanent lifestyle changes.  DIETS DO NOT WORK.  The key to long-term optimal health is to make life changes that work for you and that become HABIT. 


PREFER  A GROUP SETTING?

If so, use our group exercise option where you do the same workout as your peers, but at your personal level and it changes every two weeks!  There is a page online for you to post and chat with your peers about the workouts and what you are doing and to help motivate each other!  This is a great way to add some much-needed accountability for many!

When you join our Online Training Program, you will set up an account to use for tracking your workouts and meal plans.  This tool will be the key to keeping you connected to your trainer 24/7.  Your trainer, Erin Akey,  is not only a Certified Personal Trainer, but also a Certified Water Fitness Instructor, Fitness Nutrition Coach, and also a Lifestyle and Weight Management Specialist.  She is also the host of a radio show called "Fit Living" about fitness, nutrition, life after bariatric surgery, and living a healthy lifestyle. The show airs on Sunday at 7pm CST on FM TALK 106.5 on the Gulf Coast.  You can also listen live online from anywhere in the world at www.fmtalk1065.com .  Cooking tips and recipes come from Erin's husband Ben Akey, who co-hosts "Fit Living" and is also a Personal Fitness Chef!

Personalized Fitness Plan-Each member will receive a fitness plan based on both personal goals and physical limits. We will work with you to incorporate things you love into a workout plan that fits into a real-life schedule. We help you set realistic and healthy goals.  You will go over your results and progress online every two weeks and make changes as you move forward in your fitness journey. We believe that it does not take hours in a gym to maintain a healthy level of fitness.  All it requires is a commitment to 30 minutes, three times a week right in your own home if you do not wish to use a gym! 
                                                

Daily Accountability Reminders! - Each member will be set up with an account where you will track your fitness goals!   Each plan also comes with instructional videos for each exercise.  Members are encouraged to send fitness and nutrition logs to their trainer daily for feedback.  Logging all of this information will help your trainer to do your assessments every two weeks!  You will also receive daily workout reminders from your trainer as well as encouragement and tips!

Personalized Fitness Nutrition Guidance- Erin Akey is a Certified Fitness Nutrition Coach who will work with you to be sure you are properly fueling your body and filling it with nutrient-dense foods that give you maximum energy and help you get to and maintain a healthy weight. Each person has different likes and needs and we will tailor a plan to fit YOU!  

Online Support Group- Join your peers online every day in our private Facebook group for support and encouragement!  This is our hub for the sharing of ideas and strategies for staying on course on your weight loss journey.   The group will feature peers who are on the same journey that you are on! 

Monthly Webinars From Industry Leaders- Once a month, you will be part of a webinar hosted by a different leader in the health, fitness, and weight loss industry.  This will be your chance to ask questions and get answers as well as learn more about their particular area of expertise.

Weekly Newsletter-  Once a week you will receive a newsletter via email filled with tips, recipes, news articles, and other information to help with your journey.  We will also feature inspirational stories from our members who are winning the fight day-by-day against obesity.   There will be a community news section to alert you to charity events related to the fight against obesity that we endorse as a group.
